Quest for 100 Losses: Mission Accomplished!

The best possible scenario played out last night. The Chicago Bears beat the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. As a result, only a limited number of fans tuned in to watch the Chicago Cubs lose their 100th game of the season. Perhaps it lessened the blow. Even I didn't watch. I was at a friends' house watching the Bears game. Once that game ended, I hopped in my car and drove home. For some reason, the Cubs simply weren't on my mind.

Just before calling it a night, I finished reading my book and quickly glanced at my iPhone. Sure enough the Houston Astros, with 106 losses of their own, defeated the Cubs by a score of 3-0. The Cubs secured the third worst season in franchise history.

Funny, my season ticket group just got an email stating that we owe money for next year's season tickets on the day the Cubs posted loss number 100...they sure have some guts

That does sound like bad timing. Still, it's kind of funny.
