Another Mad Dash to the Finish: Part II

A few weeks ago I posted a blog highlighting my annual geocaching goal. In that blog, I stated that during each calendar year, I attempt to reach the next 100 milestone. Up to this point, I have been successful each year. Some years are better than others. Last year was close to not happening. Real close.

This year, my goal is to reach 800 total finds. Thanks to outstanding November weather, I've been able to make a dent in my goal. As of this evening, I am sitting on 760. That means just 40 remaining. I am clearly ahead of my pace from last year. Honestly, the most significant obstacle will be the weather. Looking ahead, the weather should be fine. Of course, I call the Midwest home, so things can change on a dime.

The picture included in this blog is from a geocache I found in Elmhurst this afternoon. It was called Old School. The cache itself was hidden behind a loose brick behind this memorial to the former school that once stood on the current park's property.

The madness continues.

OMG... isn't that just about 1/day??? Not quite, but close. We are driving to Houston tomorrow. This was a good reminder for me to look some up!

You're right. I figure if I find multiple per day, I'll be fine. A few years ago, I found about four or five in Houston.

I found three easy ones over lunch today. Down to 37 left.
