MLB 2017 Game #5: Tigers vs. White Sox (Game 2)

After winning the first of two games today, the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers paused for approximately 30 minutes and faced each other again.

The Tigers sent 26-year-old Buck Farmer (0-1, 4.60 ERA) to the mound. Farmer made his 15th appearance this season, but only his second start. The White Sox countered with 30-year-old Derek Holland (4-3, 2.47 ERA). Holland, who joined the Sox after eight years with the Texas Rangers, made his 10th start this season.

After falling behind 4-0, the White Sox rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth. With a runner on third base with one out, they failed to tie the game and force extra innings.
