Magic Number: 14

The Chicago Cubs are not making it easy for themselves down the stretch. They have managed to take a beating from the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals over the last week. Their last two games have been 4-3 come-from-behind losses to the Reds and Cardinals.

I am still confident that the Cubs will win the National League Central Division title soon, but the Milwaukee Brewers are still hanging around. Milwaukee is facing difficult times too. They have lost three straight. Oddly enough, their opponents have been the San Diego Padres and Cincinnati Reds. Spoilers! Milwaukee's Magic Number for the wild card is 15. They are fending off the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals.

I have tickets to the Cubs/Brewers game next Tuesday. It doesn't appear to be the night the Cubs clinch the division, but let's get it closer.

I was at last nights game....
A check swing?! Wacky.

Very cool. Dare I ask...Cubs or Cardinals?

The Brewers managed a big eighth inning today to defeat the Reds. They needed that.
