I expected our loss. Matter of fact, I'm not expecting a win but it still sucks. With all the dramatics in the last week, I was thinking maybe, just maybe, there's some crazy chance they can win this series. Doubtful.

I agree. I didn't think the Brewers stacked up too well against the Phillies. They struggled against them down the stretch. Now that Ben Sheets is officially out of the postseason, and the bullpen adds gasoline to every fire, they have a rough ride ahead. You're right though. Sometimes a big win can turn into a decent streak. That's exactly why I hate a 5-game series. Just one loss can strip away home field advantage.

On the other had, I expected the Cubs to win tonight. When a team wins 97 games and has a fantastic home record, you have to win those games. Now we have to hope for a win at Wrigley Field and two in Los Angeles.

I was deflated last night. I'm still a little upset today. This is the only sport that I feel this way about. Sure I was upset when the Bears lost the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, but the Cubs are my team. My wife said that when the Cubs comeback from this loss and win the series, it will be that much more exciting. Come on Cubs fans, keep your heads up! Let's do this!!!

Don't you accept patients who like the Twins? It was hard to spend time catching up and even going .5 games into the lead only to be denied by a Sox 3 game winning streak including a 1-0 loss in a decider.

Twins fans are welcome, but you have say Tony Olivo's name three times before posting.

We are officially accepting early Cubs fans clients. It's 5-0 in the fourth inning.

I almost forgot. White Sox fans are welcome too. At least that game was close.

The White Sox just dropped the second game in Tampa Bay. So much for a Chicago presence in the postseason. They are a collective 0-4.

Neither team is out...yet. It ain't over till it's over. Tomorrow's a new game...gotta take them one day at a time.

Now, when people like D. Lee are making errors, the team is either cursed or laughably unlucky.

This basically sums up the week in Chicago baseball. Keep in mind, this was posted before the White Sox/Rays series started, and before the Cubs lost Game 2. This site always updates, so look at the image for October 2.

The 2008 Cubs season was a complete failure. Nothing else can be said about it. We deserve better. The Dodgers were three games over .500.
