The Playoffs Continue
The Chicago White Sox kickoff their ALDS match-up with the Tampa Bay Rays this afternoon. Since the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim played the late game last night, they have Thursday off. The Red Sox took a 1-0 series lead over the heavily favored Angels with a 4-1 win in the ALDS opener.Tonight the Milwaukee Brewers trot CC Sabathia back to the mound on three days rest, again. The Philadelphia Phillies will counter with Brett Myers.
On a personal note, I hope the Brewers rip Myers to shreds. He's nothing but a wife-beating piece of trash who doesn't deserve to wear a Major League Baseball uniform.
Just slightly over one year later, proving that Brett Myers moved beyond his anger issues, he added this gem. It's nice to know he's so caring toward special needs people.
The Chicago Cubs send Carlos Zambrano to the hill against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Which Big Z will show up tonight? Will it be the no-hitter Carlos who can make a team of professionals look like little leaguers? Will it be the Carlos who suffered a meltdown in his start immediately following his no-hitter? This one rarely appears. Could it be the Zambrano who becomes far too emotional and allows the opposition to get inside his head?
Here is today's schedule:
Chicago White Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays - 1:30 p.m. CT
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Philadelphia Phillies - 5 p.m. CT
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs - 8:30 CT
On an unrelated note, has anybody seen my box cutter?
And still I sit, on the downstairs couch, watching in horror. This is a disappointment and a disgrace. A coworker of mine who is the most die-hard Cubs fan I know -- she said that if they screw it up this year, she's done with them. Dropping them for good. I feel the same way. This is pathetic.
Yet I know I can't walk away. Again, a Cubs fan.
I cannot give up on them. I have way too much invested in them. This really blows.
Oh wait, a seventh inning rally? It's now 7-1.
