Chicago Landmark on Fire

On the news this morning, word broke that Chicago's famous Holy Name Cathedral is on fire. The cathedral serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The Chicago Tribune is featuring breaking news on their website.

That is so sad! I used to teach at FXW's HNC campus. My sister's family attends that church, and my nephew goes to CCD there, too.

Dannie, the damage ended up not being as severe as initially thought. Still, the news last night was littered with stories about upcoming weddings. The church was closed for nine months due to renovation. It only recently reopened to the public.
