Finishing the Junior Circuit
Susan and I are packing the final few items for our trek to Minnesota. We're heading out in a few minutes for a long weekend in Minneapolis. Yes, it's my final baseball trip of 2009. I still have a few games to see, but not to any other new ballparks.
On Saturday, we will see the Oakland Athletics battle the Minnesota Twins. There are less than one dozen Twins games left to be played in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. In fact, on Saturday it will be exactly 11 left.
What does this trip mean? It means that I'll have attended a Major League Baseball game in every American League, the Junior Circuit, city. I am surprised that I didn't finish the National League first. After all, I am a Cubs fan and spent a better portion of my life attending National League games.
Time to pack up, get gas and travel northwest.
