MLB 2010 Game #14: Indians vs. White Sox

Today, I am saying goodbye to the 2010 Major League Baseball regular season by making one final stop at U.S. Cellular Field for a game between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox.

At this point in the season, when both teams are eliminated, you never know who will actually pitch. Today's probables are Justin Germano (0-2, 2.16 ERA) for the Indians and Edwin Jackson (3-2, 3.25 ERA) for the White Sox. Since Wednesday, the Indians have been pitching a string of relievers to give them experience. According to reports, Germano is expected pitch about three innings this afternoon. Jackson, picked up in a trade with Arizona Diamondbacks, is slated to start. Seeing the team has been eliminated from postseason contention, he made not start and give way to Lucas Harrell or Carlos Torres.

In a blog a few days ago, I mentioned that I wanted to catch one Sox game this season. I didn't make the trip to U.S. Cellular Field in 2009, and I didn't want to stretch that to two full seasons. That means I will have been to games in eight parks this season:

Citizens Bank Park - Philadelphia, PA
Fenway Park - Boston, MA
Miller Park - Milwaukee, WI (4 times)
Wrigley Field - Chicago, IL (4 times)
Busch Stadium - St. Louis, MO
Target Field - Minneapolis, MN
Turner Field - Atlanta, GA
U.S. Cellular Field - Chicago, IL

What a season.
