Kennedy Space Center

Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated with the space program. Sure, the Space Shuttle program is complete, but it was still amazing to visit the Kennedy Space Center this afternoon. It was nice to leave the alternate universe called Disney for a while and look toward the stars for an afternoon.

Now, if we extend the Team Game to include our entire Florida trip, I can add the Baltimore Orioles to my list.

On one of trips to Florida, Bev and I visited KSC and I was impressed the scope of the entire operation. I made the statement to Bev: We have been in a Fantasy World at Disney World; however, this is the Real World. I looked in amazement at the size and complexity of the equipment and the amount of technology involved. we were there during the Apollo Program and I had known some friends of mine that had worked for contractors that built various components of the entire system. Also, I was sad that I had not been able to be a part of the program because when I first started college my major was Areonautical Engineering, but that didn't work out.

I would love to visit some time too. Sounds like it is definitely worth it.
