If the 2012 Postseason Started Today

Technically, the 2012 season is already into the second half. Every MLB team has passed the 81 game mark, but the All-Star Game break serves as a ceremonial mid-point. Still, this is an interesting time to look at the standings to see where teams rank in their respective divisions and wild card races. This season, each league will have two wild cards. I'm not a fan of that. When I looked at my blog from last season, the eventual World Series champions were tied for first in the NL Central. The American League Champions were leading the AL West. So, if the season ended today, these would be the division winners and wild cards.
